Kids In The Hall Revival Series Coming To Amazon Prime Video

After being off the air for 25 years, The Kids in the Hall is making a comeback. The sketch comedy group is reuniting to launch a new series on Amazon Prime Video.

According to Amazon in a press release, the new series will be a continuation of the original, which ran on CBS and HBO in the United States, between 1989 and 1995. Created in Canada, the group featured Mark McKinney (Superstore), Bruce McColloch (Super Trooper 2), Dave Foley (Hot in Cleveland), Kevin McDonald (Lilo & Stitch), and Scott Thompson (American Gods). They will all be returning for the revival, which is scheduled to run for eight episodes on the streaming service.

According to Amazon Studios vice president of international originals James Farrell, this will be the service's first Canadian original series. "The Kids in the Hall is an iconic show with a deep-rooted fan base," he said in a statement. "Several of our global hits, including The Boys, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, and The Expanse have been filmed in Canada and we are looking forward to continuing our work with talented producers and crew teams across the country to bring this series to our Prime members around the world."
